And Don't Forget to...

  • Decide who will take you to the church
  • Find out what time they will pick you up
  • Check if there any roadworks or other incidents such as carnivals or demonstrations which might affect the timings
  • Make sure all the important people know where they’re going and whom to contact in case of emergency
  • Ensure both sets of parents are happy they know what they’re doing
  • Vet your dad’s speech and sound out what the best man will be saying. Do you have a contingency revenge plan?
  • Confirm the hymns, readings and music with the person in charge of the service
  • Make sure the ushers know what they’re supposed to be doing
  • Make a list of people who must be photographed and give it to the best man
  • Organise someone to drop off the seating plans, favours and so on at the reception venue
  • Check how your parents and other important people will get to the reception
  • Suss out an alternative photographic location in case it rains
  • Find out who will be at the reception to greet you and whether there will be staff on hand to direct guests
  • Decide whether you’re having a receiving line and who’ll be in it
  • Buy gifts for your bridesmaids, ushers and so on, and decide when you want to give them out
  • Check that there’s a secure room at the hotel in which to store your presents
  • Make sure there’s someone to take your things home if you’re going straight on honeymoon from the hotel

    RELAX AND ENJOY YOURSELF!
